Medicare Supplement Plans
Medicare Supplement plans, also called Medigap, help pay for costs that Original Medicare doesn't cover — like copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles. They give you predictable costs and the freedom to see any Medicare-accepting doctor.
What Medigap Covers
Depending on the plan letter (A, B, C, D, F, G, K, L, M, N), Medigap can cover your Part A and Part B deductibles, coinsurance, copayments, and even foreign travel emergency care. Plan G is currently one of the most comprehensive options available to new enrollees.
Freedom to Choose Providers
Unlike Medicare Advantage, Medigap works with Original Medicare — meaning you can see any doctor or specialist in the country who accepts Medicare, with no referrals required and no network restrictions.
Pricing and Enrollment
Premiums vary by plan letter, insurance company, your age, and location. The best time to enroll is during your 6-month Medigap Open Enrollment Period, which starts when you're 65 and enrolled in Part B — during this window, insurers cannot deny coverage or charge more due to health conditions.
We do not offer every plan available in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov, 1-800-MEDICARE, or your local State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) to get information on all of your options.
